Mr. I used to work with when I was a teenager

When I was newly single I started talking to an old friend via cell phone. It started quite casually but quickly became an everyday occurrence. Because I would rather not name names we will call him Ron. Ron and I had worked together as at the beach as teenagers. One summer he had even kissed me. The attraction was definitely there even though I hadn't seen him in 10 or 11 years. He made me laugh and at the time I really needed to laugh. So one Sunday I decided to drive the two hours to visit him. But I wasn't invited and I was too much of a silly girl to ask if we could get together so I told him that I was going to buy a birthday gift for a friend from Ikea and low and behold the closest Ikea just happened to be near him. So we left it with maybe we could get a drink after I picked up the gift. Well the drink which ended up being quite a few beers for him and a Pepsi for me went well. I met him at a bar in the area where he was watching the Eagles game with friends. The bar was loud and we really couldn't talk, but after the game he invited me to come and see the home that he had bought. We got there and he showed me around and there was a lot of built up tension. And I thought oh no I've made a huge mistake he really doesn't like me after all. So I tell him well Ron I'm sorry, but it's already very dark and I have to be starting my two hour drive home now. And in true Ron-style he says wait before you leave there is something that I want to show you. So Ron and I walked outside the house and he takes me down this little path that runs beside his back yard. In less than 30 seconds we go from being in a neighborhood to standing in a beautiful park with a wide view of the starry sky. And then he kissed me. IT was amazing. I guess I'll never really be able to explain how it felt. I hadn't had a first kiss in over 7 years. Needless to say I was a little late getting home, but my children were safe and sound with their Aunt so it wasn't a big deal. We all know that this fairy tale did not have a happy ending or I wouldn't be blogging today. After a couple months of dating I was informed that we were not actually dating. Imagine my surprise after commuting two hours every other weekend to see Ron that we were in fact just hanging out and that the affection that we had shared was just hormones!
